Want to know the biggest secret and the magic weapon toward reaching your potential?
What is the one single thing that will allow you to overcome life’s obstacles, progress rapidly toward your goals, and totally turn your life around forever?
Well, I’ll tell you, right here, right now.
First, though, there is something you should know – every powerful and successful person didn’t always have power and success. In fact, for most, the beginning of their career was pretty pathetic.
They had a lot of strikes and gifts of tragedy against them.
They were unknown, failed several times, and faced several obstacles in the fight towards achieving their goals.
Yet, they overcame all the obstacles on their way and advanced toward a successful career leaving a legacy behind.
It wasn’t that they were smarter than everyone else. There are a lot of smart people in the world already.
It wasn’t that they were better than everyone else. Everyone is a star in their own right.
What happened is, they discovered the secret source, the magic ingredient, the hidden password that unlocked the potential gate of heaven.
And the password is…. (Growth)
Disappointed huh? I can hear someone muttering in disbelief.
The answer to rapidly reach your potential is growing your life in the right direction. That’s it. Nothing more – (Growth).
To discover your purpose, you need to grow in self-awareness. To become a better human being, you need to grow in character. To advance in your career, you need to grow your skills. To be a better spouse or parent, you need to grow in relationships. To achieve your financial goals, you need to grow your knowledge about how money works. To enrich your soul, you need to grow spiritually.
Because you see, you can’t change your life until you change something you do every day. It takes growth to be fulfill your potential. No matter what you’re trying to achieve growth will bring you more depth, wisdom, and insight about what you’re trying to do.
The problem is, most people have some mistaken belief-creating gaps that keep them from growing and achieving their potential and chances are this might be happening to you.
We’re about to sort all of this out for you. If you want to grow and quickly reach your potential, here are five challenges I think you must master and overcome in your life.
Ready? Let’s begin.
#1: I assume that I will automatically grow
Most people think growth happens automatically. They think that, as it was when they were young and as the years go by they become stronger and taller, they will eventually grow their life that way.
They say to themselves, ‘if I just keep going in this direction what will be, will be.’ They are like Charles Schulz, who said, “I think I’ve discovered the secret of life — you just hang around until you get used to it.”
But it doesn’t actually happen that way, we don’t grow by simply living. You have to be determined to commit yourself to a growth journey and you must follow through. You must be the one to take control of your growth process.
First, determine what you will do, how you will do it, and when you will do it because nobody else will do it for you. The direction must be your own.
Perhaps it’s time to ask yourself is the direction I’m heading now leading to where I want to be?
If you want to improve your life, you must improve yourself and that’s simply committing to a growth journey.
#2: I don’t know how to grow
Different people are affected by different circumstances that cause them to change, sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worst.
Most people just can’t get themselves committed to a growth journey, because either they’re afraid or they are lazy.
If this is happening to you, here’s what you need to do:
Start by identifying your goals, commit yourself to learning the required skills you need to achieve those goals, and discipline yourself to power through. Don’t just be a starter, be a good finisher.
An ancient scribe once wrote; which of you, wishing to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost to see if he has the resources to complete it? Otherwise, if he lays the foundation and is unable to finish the work, everyone who sees it will ridicule him.
Growth plus a definite plan will bring you success in record time.
#3: I don’t feel it’s the right time to begin
Perhaps the question you should be asking is how much time is enough time?
The bitter truth is you will never get much done unless you go ahead and do it before you’re ready. Once you start, you can keep growing and keep asking what can I do next?
#4: I’m afraid of making mistakes
Many people tend to quit before they even start because they’re simply afraid of making mistakes or getting rejected or being mocked by people.
Don’t be afraid of making mistakes that might make you look foolish; to grow you need to fail forward. Someone once said ‘a mistake is just another way of doing things.’
If you want to grow quickly, you can expect to make mistakes every day and welcome them as a sign of growth in the right direction. If you do that you will be fine.
#5 Thinking others are better than you
Many people think they are not perfect enough to compete in the direction they’re heading.
They simply think there are many people who do this better than I do; I’m not even a fit for their shoes. Though you might actually fall behind what you’re doing, trying to catch up.
The truth is, successful people are willing to share their ideas and you can learn so much when others are ahead of you. So don’t be discouraged if others are ahead of you, most of them are there to help show you the way.
You must be willing to rub shoulders with successful people in your field and find out the secret of their success.
When you are stuck, don’t question yourself by thinking – I thought it would be easier than this, instead, you should be asking yourself a question like, how far can I go?
So starting from this moment, I want you to commit yourself to a growth journey and see how far you can go.
Be patient when you need to be, great things take time.
I believe we all have fears but also, we all have faith. You must decide which one you will allow to rule your life.
But here’s a little advice from me to you. Starve your fears and feed your faith.
If you do that, you’ll grow quickly, become a person of influence, gain financial freedom, and live the life you’ve always dreamed.
With that said, I hope you will start your growth journey now and never stop growing
